Buy/Swap/Sell [Announce ONLY] / FS - Twin spark (75) performan...

The cheapest and quickest way to get an extra 15 - 20 extra bhp from an Alfa 75 derived twin spark engine:

Ported plenum and manifold, ECU with BBR Superchip, and a bonus AFM. I built this about 10 years ago and recently came back into my hands, but I have no use for it ATM.

$800 - No offers, no text messages.

Buy/Swap/Sell [Announce ONLY] / FS - 1971 Giulia Super (1750)
Last post by LukeC - September 28, 2024, 08:57:36 AM
1971 Giulia Super Sedan – Australian delivered car originally sold by Alec Mildren. This car is equipped with a very healthy series 2 1750 engine with 190 psi on all cylinders and the later, bigger 1750 front brakes. Just recommissioned after a long period. Work includes a full front suspension overhaul including steering box and idler, new clutch, all hydraulics replaced or overhauled, oil leaks repaired, correct (for engine) DCOE 32 carburettors overhauled and much more. The car has fresh paint and all underbody rust has been repaired. The tyres are so new, they still have pips on them, This car is not a concourse standard car, but looks the goods and drives impeccably having just had over $13,000 spent on it in the right places. $45,000 negotiable. As always: lowballers and timewasters will not be entertained.

Cheers bazz, the initial assessment in the workshop was that it was most likely front camcover gasket, but wasn't obvious where exactly it was coming from. And if it was the compressor itself I'd have thought it would have already run dry and seized. I had thought maybe power steering leak but its definitely oil not power steering fluid.

General Discussion / Re: 3.2 Busso v6 max RPM
Last post by 105gta - September 27, 2024, 07:22:37 AM
I'd be checking the main crank nut is tight. It's very unlikely that revving to 8200rpm would cause all the bearings to seize. The oil pump chain is driven by friction, there is no key way so if the crank nut is loose the drive gear will slip and you'll have no oil pressure.

105/115 Series (105 Coupe/Spider/Berlina) / 2000 Berlina Grille wings
Last post by Biscione89 - September 26, 2024, 05:44:24 PM
Hi guys,

I've just picked up a 1974 2000 Berlina as a project car. Very excited as this car was mythical in my family as my dad had the same model in the 80s. This is my first foray into classic Alfa restoration.

I'm looking to find the chrome 'wings' on either side of the 2000 heart grille- I've been searching online and haven't been able to find any. Just wondering if any of you would have any idea?

If it "appears" to be coming from A/C compressor then the usual suspects are the front Camshaft Cover Gasket, or it's not engine oil but a leaking Power Steering Pump or hose.

Just "Spitballing".
