am I the only one who looks at the number of garage spaces listed for a house in the paper before looking at the actual house!

Get the wife to look for house with alfresco areas , once in they usually prove ample space for storage & tinkering

If your place can only accommodate two garages and is single story, it's always possible to raise the roof above one bay and install a hoist on the pretext of creating another storage spot on the hoist for and additional vehicle.

...of course we all know what other uses hoists have...ooooooh yeah !!
