What happens if you put 91 ron fuel in the alfa.

I get the feeling the tight arsed dealer didnt use 95. I have put two tanks of 95 in and it seems to be running a bit smoother/

Cool Jesus

Fortunately you have a knock sensor in this engine. A lower octane below recommended will pre ignite, however the sensor will give the ecu this signal, which in turn will retard ignition to avoid it. So yeah it will give you poor performance and poor economy. It shouldn't give your engine any long term grief over one tank. Would this dealer really do that for the sake of a couple of bucks?

Just put the best fuel you can get, brand name 95, don't use the discount brands, except for filling up your hire car, Colin.
