Been looking at the pitted chrome bits inside the junior - what's generally done? Rechrome or replace? Perhaps some components aren't available as a reproduction so rechrome is the only option. Any recommendations on where to have rechroming done (sydney area) ?
Cheers, neil

Campbell, one of the issues with pitted chrome bits is that it is very difficult (read that as near impossible) to effectively get rid of the pitting, without going to the extent of grinding back the pitted areas to a good base metal and then re-chrome the parts. When parts are on the no longer available or endangered species list you are often left with no option but to try the impossible. I'm not aware of any locals who can overcome the pitted chrome bits well enough.
