What's with all recent Camry hate? I missed something clearly...

A solenoid activated 200mm long hypodermic that penetrates the drivers seat at the moment an unauthorised ignition start is activated. The hypodermic being part of a capacitor high voltage discharge anode and the start key lock being the ground connecting the "Whoodoo" to both polarities simultaneously.

Naturally it wouldn't be much of a spectacle unless you hand a flash recording yelling out via an under bonnet speaker the words: BURGLAR< BURGLAR !! to ad some theatre.

A driver's window sticker declaring :"This car is contaminated with EBOLA VIRUS" may help.

Otherwise I can't think of a thing..

I shouldn't be too harsh on Camry's, after all I do quite like this particular model:
Not the new ones though. They can all go die. So can the Prius at that.

its not that I hate Camrys !
Im just  envious of the reliability
and I think they are the bench mark for this
so much so that it is so reliable and uneventful that you become completely detached from the
excilleration of driving , and that to me is what its all about
Camry represents everything I dont want on weekends
but What I want MOnday morning to go to work
But I digress the best way to stop a thief is leave it in a locked garage, unlock the car and disable ignition and leave key in the ignition
so nothing gets damaged
thats what I do
it sends the message that you know it wont go
Oh and leave a gold coin on the centre consul so you know if you have been broken into ( it will go)
they might be very clever and re enter of time and you will know if the coin is gone you have bigger issues

I don't hate them, as vehicles, either. In fact the new ones look quite sharp. What I hate about them is the consistency with which Camry drivers tend to speed past in the outside lane, pull in front of you and then slow down to 5-10 kph below the speed limit.

agree totally except I would like to add land cruisers towing caravans doing 15 km/h slower than the speed indicated even in work zones, bad enough doing 40 but going between coffs Harbour and Port  Mac there is  130km of constant road works (unbelievable why cant they do 5km and do it quick and move on) 3 cruisers towing each doing between 10 to 15 under the speed
I have theory on this
TO make toyotas look faster than they actually are, their speedometer  reads 15kms fast  so they think
A) its quick to 100
B) gets great economy at 110km.h (because its doing 95)
C) that the rest of the world seems reckless
D) after a 40km/h crash theres very little damage because really they were doing only 25km/h
has anyone experienced this

My father's works car is a Yaris, when the dash reads 116kmh he is doing 105kmh on the gps
