Hi all my name is Ray and I'm from Coffs Harbour. Bought my first Alfa a month ago, a 2015 Giulietta Distinctive and love it. I have driven a 68 MGB for 25 years and found it hard to part with it but the Alfa is a great replacement.
One issue is that the Navi is way out of date, doesn't recognise my address even though this area is over two years old.  My dealer said that they don't get map updates from Alfa, has anyone else had this problem or is just part of living in the boondocks?

Cheers

Welcome Andy and great choice! May I suggest you delete the other topic in the 940 series before someone replies and causes confusion.

Simply put if your location is relatively new development then it's understandable the maps are not up to date. However if you purchased the Alfa new, the selling dealer should be more expansive in the explanation.

First thing, look in the owners manual folio (the one with all the vehicles manuals), there should be instructions on how to register for updates etc. Do this and download latest maps/updates and the problem will be solved (if your suburb has made it onto the map company's file).

Enjoy.
The Alfa Romeo heritage "rinascimento" (renaissance) continues in each and every new model...the first "rinascimento" being 1915.

Thanks alfamisa, nothing in the iconnect manual about registering for updates. Also Goggle came back with nothing for Australian maps for the Giulietta. Will keep hassling the dealer, not a big problem anyway, if I get lost just means more fun driving!

No problem Andy, you must insist the salesman that sold you the Alfa explain (which he should have on delivery to you) the details of registering with Tomtom. Failing that contact a "real" dealer in Sydney, one of the big ones and ask as a prospective customer the story with how maps are updated, how you identify the serial number etc.

Good luck, let me know how you go.

PS It's Uconnect on your Series 1 Giulietta (was Blue&Me on Series 0 2010-2014 Giulietta)
