Hello fellow Alfa Romeo enthusiasts. I'm always keen on all things Alfa. Lately have been reading a few of the amazing 105 projects, from Evan's to avi81n's (closer to homeā€”hi!) and various other related topics.
Motivated at present by a bit of a feeling that I will probably need to do something major with mine before too long...(it's a bit rougher than it looks here!)

...either that or follow up on my other possible inclination, which is to consider that I may never get around to that kind of project, and might be better suited to finding something a bit more modern. (Have found myself also reading up lots on 3.2 GTs.)
So anyway, since I've been lurking around the forum, thought I should declare myself. Hoping the process might help me continue to advance my thinking regarding my ongoing Alfa journey.

Welcome to the forum. My opinion is: The 3.2 GT might be a beautiful, powerful, modern, smooth drive. That said, I'd say roll up your sleeves and give the 105 some love. Don't sell such a magical piece of motoring history - unless it's to me for 500 bucks 😜. I honestly think you'll regret it.

Welcome Paul,

I reckon a good driving 105 coupe is fantastic, one that you don't have to be too afraid of stone chips and muck. That's how the rest of our Alfas are, and they're driven regularly and enjoyed. I got carried away with the 1750GTV and it's still not finished and I'm not out there in it!

Point is, to keep your 105 in a good state to enjoy might not be as major an undertaking as you fear.

That said, the v6 GT is looking better and better every year! Tough choice...

Yes Damo and Evan, thanks for the greetings and thoughts. Not sure the decision has been helped, but it seems that regardless of the obvious merits of the 105, the temptations of the 3.2 GT are recognized by you guys too. Still plenty to think about.
