We decided to modernise our GTV6 road/track car back to a full road car.  It could never be called a restoration as that implies originality and the yellow paintwork obviously would belay that.  We call it a renovation since we are repairing some parts and improving/modernising other parts.

Anyway, here's some pics on its first outing at the FPM Motorexpo at the Exhibition Buildings this weekend

Nice!
Purity of form over purity of colour choice any day - very tasteful renovation (de-emphasising/replacing Alfa's own '80s "renovation" work on the GT/GTV isn't a bad thing).

Nice work Victor, From what Alfa or other car did you source the instrument cluster, (Alfa Romeo SZ ???) Nice to shuffle the clock out of the available dashboard space allowing fuel , water temp , oil pressure to be in front of you . Given both the car & drivers advancing years a reversing camera is a great addition.  (LOL)

Thanks, guys!

The gauges are from Speedhut in the USA. http://www.speedhut.com/

And yes, the driver needs help in reversing!  ;)

Hi Victor,
I'm here at the show now and must say your car along side Hugh's looks absolutely spectacular . It's drawing a great deal of attention and photography.
Classic machine in magnificent surrounds.
Well done on all your hard work.

Saw it today victor looked very sharp

Thanks, Ray!  We're (very) happy with the result.  The two short drives I've had (to and from the show) was SO much more comfortable than driving it to/from the track!  I LIKE IT!

It looks soooo good, Victor! You've done an amazing job- serving as some inspiration for me!

What sizes are the Simmons? What rubber and do you know of any of the specs?
Can I get a close up shot of the brakes, please?

Indeed a stunning car. I absolutely love the colour. I must admit, on the recent club run, it looked soo intimidating in my rear view mirror haha.
