Actor Idris Elba charts the history of racing and and how the pursuit of speed has affected motorsport and cars of today.
This show is buried on SBS between 3-30am till 4-30am on Friday mornings.
Never heard of him before or the program or how many episodes i have missed, but watched one episode the other night and it was quite good, they looked at Rally cars from the original British Motor Corporation Mini, to the Leyland Metro, to other things such as Ralph Nader, 'unsafe at any speed' look at the Chevrolet Corvair and how it made cars safer, to the 55 mile per hour speed limit in America, and how a group of car nuts decided to start the Cannonball Rally to prove that you could drive fast and safely at the same time.
Might be worth a look at, most likely be able to download it of the interweb.
So much better than Masterchef and Home renovations, Colin.
