Hi
I have just completed a repaint of my 1983 Alfetta GTV and had to make a decision on restoring the bumpers back to original plastic finish or colour code them. I decided to go with colour coded bumpers and the finished product can be seen in the attached photos. I also have included photo of the paint code for the original colour.

Looks fantastic. Thanks for the paint code I'll use this as a base. Is that an official Alfa colour?

I personally want to keep the car as original as possible as I quite like the red over grey look.

Hi
In regards to your query Yes it is the original colour for the model and year for the GTV refer to website link below. I purchased the paint through VG Auto Paints located in Girraween NSW. The paint code is Grigio Chiaro AR751 (refer to website-  location of code and table for Alfa Romeo)

Bonno your gtv looks great.... the bumpers certainly set the car off in that colour as well as those fine looking Simmons.

Thanks ISM
I am happy of the way she turned out. I have attached before, during and after shots of the respray/refresh project (5 months). Just need to fit refurbished dash and repair to beading on drivers seat to finish, but at least she is now back on the road.

Looks absolutely beautiful! Nice work. Lovely colours.

Starting to think my plan to get another 116 is getting out of reach. Depressing. $37,800 just because it's a mint Grand Prix? $18,900 for one with "typical little spots of rust"?  :(  A few years back I'd expect rust to have to have been fixed or a smick 3L transplant with Haltech if i was forking out $19k.
