I have found some info that a 13b turbo crank angle sensor can be put into the 2 litre's has anyone seen this done or have done it them selves.
if so what sort of mods were done to make it fit,the ecu once tuned will do the rest just wondering about fitment

To Thmpar,
I'm the guy that has installed an mazda rx7 crank angle sensor in my 2.0l twin cam alfa. I have also answered your post on the microtech forum. Basically I convereted my 1984 alfa romeo giulietta 2.0l to efi using various parts and making some custom parts while completing my mechanical engineering degree.

In relation to your question, the purpose of a crank angle sensor, is so that you can equipped each spark plug with its own coil. There are severals ways to achieve this, but the most effective would be a built in crank angle sensor in a distributor. It was very easy to modify, which only required  the shaft and casing to be cut down. Once you shorten the distributor, 2 brass bushes need to be made so that there is no shaft play.
You then install the distributor as you would, ( tdc) etc.

Furthermore, depending on the type of ECU, ( I prefer MICROTECH) any further timing adjustments can be made through the handset.
If you have any questions please let me know as this would probably make me the first person to ever do such a modification.

P.s: maybe able to show pics!!!!
