Just watched this Italian crime series on Netflix called Suburra. Not as good as Romanzo Criminale, but still pretty entertaining and set in contemporary Rome with plenty of Alfas as extras - especially the Roma Rozzers in their 159s and hoons in 147s...

For those who are interested, there is another ripper Italian TV series available via SBS On Demand - The Mafia Only Kills In Summer.

Set in Palermo 1979 - story of growing up in '70s Sicily as seen through the eyes of a 10yo boy.

Brilliant stuff - and plenty of great car spotting (eg dodgy Uncle Massimo in his Alfetta, and the sleazebag lothario schoolteacher with the obligatory Spider...)

And best of all, Aunt Patrizia ... che bella donna!
