Great news an alternate venue at Docklands has been arranged.  John Hanslow and the AROCA Vic committee has been able at very short notice  to coordinate involvement with the Targa Florio Australian Tribute 2017 Regularity Race.
Although Concorso and Show n Shine have been postponed to a date yet to be confirmed, this Sunday will be a great opportunity to get together and welcome back to Melbourne the cars competing in the Targa Florio.  The dinner Saturday night at the Rising Sun is not to missed.

Can't really blame Wesley College for needing to protect their sodden ground from the 350 odd cars and 1000's of spectators.  The rain in parts of Melbourne has been biblical.  Neighbours down the street look like their building an Arc!  We'll be going back to Wesley again in 2018.

We ran the 75 in the first stage of the Targa at Geelong yesterday.  Lost of classic pre 1976 cars entered many of them Alfas!  Looking forward to seeing them cross the finish line around 1:00pm.

Looking forward to seeing you at Docklands Sunday.

As the day goes

What does the display then mean?  Should 350 cars turn-up to Docklands?

Hi Melbourne,
The display "means" anyone wishing to come along and bring their car will still have the opportunity to do so.  Space has been made available to us along Harbour Esplanade - turn left at the end of Latrobe St.

Not sure how to answer your second question given the vagaries of the weather at the moment!  However, the Presedent and I will be there and we hope to see as many of you as possible.  I'd personally like to see 3500 cars!   If 350 cars turn up John Hanslow and the committee would be ecstatic!

And dinner is on at the Rising Sun Hotel tonight.

Colin.
