Front shocks

G'day Alfisti,
I have a year 2000 give in need of front shocks, I have given the car to a local man and he is having issues trying to source shocks, to the point where he is having to get them from Italy... I'm thinking this might be a scam...
Yours thoughts would be appreciated

I do order a lot of parts for my 156 and 147 from Europe cause it's cheaper. There are usually local options with a huge markup.

So without knowing details it may or may not be a scam. And not even a scam, can just be a case of a lazy mechanic who can't be bothered looking around
