convertible top does not open

Hi everyone out there,

This is my first time using this forum, so bear with me as I learn the ropes.

I am looking forward to conversing with fellow Alfa lovers.

I have owned a 2006 Brera Spider 939 convertible, 3.2L JTS AWD since 2016 and love driving it.

About five weeks ago the top of the convertible stops when I try to lower it. It stops just a few centimeters from the top of the windshield.

Started to look into have it repaired, two weeks ago, I contacted Convertible & Sunroof Autocentre, Arncliffe, the Owner said he was to busy and will ring back next week, yes, he did not call back.

Has any fellow 939 Spider drivers experience this problem and how were they able to get it repaired.
