A lot of car for that price.  I imagine the fetching body kit probably took a couple of grand off the price though, let alone the selespeed.

Bloody cheap track car though.  I gather these are actually bloody quick around a track as standard.

Interesting point.  Is it real value ?

Well this could be an example of a car that needs a full service & tune, belts, new selespeed and anything else not serviced or replaced.  Plus a scrath or two.

Parts and labour all add up and a neglected cars value will be measured in the price.

Cheers.

1999 was the first year the 156's came to Australia.  I remember this well because (past?) Club Member Adrian Huntley had to push the dealer hard for the 1st Victorian delivery of a 156 so that he could take it to the NSW Alfesta at Bateman's Bay.  Let's say Adrian was very popular at that Alfesta!

Given that the first 156's landed just before Easter, I cannot recall for the rest of the 1999 year whether Alfa whould have then brought out a special Monza edition so soon after a new model arrived?

It maybe likely that a Monza kit was retrofitted to an earlier car to improve the looks and possibly value of the car.  Then John's query of real value:  NO!

What is the going price for a bog standard 1999 156?  Definately less than $4700!
