Hi everybody - Just a quick note to introduce myself.

I'm a prolific member of another site called AussieFrogs: http://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/index.php

I am from Melbourne and have driven a Peugeot 205GTI for a very lone time (ten years plus) and am now getting "older" and have decided to join the force.  I've always loved Alfas and my favourite would have to be the 105 from around 1974.  My next purchase will be a 156GTA but have decided to do some due dill on the subject first so I'll follow the protocol of most forums and do a search on the subject first and read all threads before posting new questions.

Lookinf forward to chattign wtih you guys soon.

Regards,
Luca

Welcome Luca,

excellent choice in cars. I'll probably get banished for bringing this up, but about five years ago dad had to choose between a 205 gti and an alfetta. Luckily common sense prevailed (cough) and he bought the alfetta, which i kindly took off his hands.

i posted a couple of photos a long time ago on aussiefrogs of dad's R8 "Gordini". it actually had a fully worked 16TS motor in it, but the only way he could get it registered at the time was as a Gordini.

Hope your stay is a happy one  ;D

Thanks Matt.  I might get crucified for saying this but I truly believe the 156 is a better car than the 159.  The 159 has a little too much Commodore in it's design concept.

I love the Gordini!

Thanks again
