As daft as Edward's comment might appear I think he is essentially correct.  This is one for the dealer to sort out for you. Dave

thanks for the advice guy's    but i would like to know whether i would need to use a scan tool such as a 'Carmen Scan Tool' utilizing the 'OBII' System or whether its a matter of a sequence of ignition key/odometer reset buttons. Vehicles such as the Mercedes E series can be reset this way, without the need of so called Dealer expertise. I would appreciate it if you could shed some light on my query??

Thank you Alan,   this is what i was looking for.     Janey

Oh cool, well this is news to me, so glad to be aware of for the future.  BTW what on earth is a "Carmen Scan Tool for utilizing the OBII system".  Sounds like a cross between a Spanish opera and Starwars !!  ;D

I would have gone with the service option, it sounded alot easier.

Some of our club sposors have the Alfa Analyser for the modern era of cars.  I had my 156 done for free when the breaks were done.  In some instances the cost is about $80.00.

Remember with regular service, the selespeed is adjusted and reset also so you have multiple benefits.

Cheers.
