Pep, if it's not too much trouble, I'd also love a copy of that Sportiva road test.

In return, I can offer a 1984 comparo between the Alfetta, e28 BMW 518 and Peugeot 505 GTi.

K76, that looks like a really nice example!

No probs guys as soon as I find it Ill send it over

The window motors were hilarious, it was like they just removed the window winder and hooked up a motor to the winder spline - used to piss myself laughing every time I was in that car
Cheers

looks good - best looking bumpers Ive seen for a while
I am currently using  83 Sportiva II Ltd ed. #99 (transaxle no go) as parts for 84 gold leaf
the sportiva is exactly as per pep's detail and has one (passenger side)electric mirror (excellent toy when parked and waiting).
I don't know about the diff ratios but between 14" and 15" rims might seem reasonable and I'd be interested to know.
At the moment I have both gearbox's on my dining room floor (because I can)
(wish I knew how to post pic's)

Finally got through the blue slip today! I definitely picked the wrong crowd, they made me fix even the tiniest spot of rust on the doors, fix an exhaust leak I couldn't see or hear, replace my seats as the backs had too much play etc etc. They even gave my a fail on the front demister, which was working just the guy couldn't figure out how to work it.
Anyway, I got plates and with a new clutch everything is sweet. If you don't look to closely it actually looks great now, my paint supplier managed to match up the colour perfectly.

Now I just need to find some time to get my 10548 cams in, and then I'll try some 34mm venturis. Just need to find the right emulsion tubes to go with them.

The Sportiva got the chance to stretch its legs yesterday. We started at 5.15am, drove 200km to Oran Park, stuck race numbers on, had an absolute ball and drove home afterwards. No issues at all, brakes held up fine, engine revved cleanly all day and didn't use any oil. We weren't very fast, but I dare say I had the most fun per dollar spent!
