105 series coupe - Window winder testing my patience - A cry for help

The replacement winder mechanism arrived yesterday.   
Highwood Motor Co. in the UK were understanding and very helpful throughout the entire process.

Bit of a bump here.

My drivers door was also sagging, so I took the trims off to have a look and the cable is everywhere, just doesnt look healthy at all and explains why nothing is happening.

Is there a tutorial somewhere with parts etc to fix the issue? I can see its going to be a PIA as there is not much room in there.

Any links and advice would be great.
