Hey guys Im wondering if anyone has taken their 147 to get their selespeed issues sorted at Alfamotive?

Just wondering on whether you have had good / not so good experiences with them?

Any input would be great! Or if you have somewhere else you would recommed, send us a message!

These guys are Alfa Specialists and not dealers so a range of value service options and fixes are available.  Informations is now more readily available so most of these guys know common problems.  I asked around in Melb workshops about the selespeed issues and despite the fact that you can replace the pump, actuator etc ... the vehicle may still just stop due to selespeed electrical issues.

I was thinking of getting a 156 JTS selespeed as the it does give the oportunity for spirited driving due to the speed of the gear change.  But not all that convinced.

I purchased a 156 Twin Spark manual up there and they did a prepurchase inspection for free because I was a club member  (and had travelled fromn Melb) and the seller could only speak of Alfamotive's passion for Alfas as they serviced the car.

Back to your question. They seem to be well respected in the trade and have my vote.

It is important that they have the Alfa diag computer and that their computer is capable of resetting the selespeed.  Not all non-Alfa dealer diag computers are able to do the reset.
