V6 3.2 Removal of the thermostat housing .

Hi all, I have a water leak from the thermostat housing were it sleeves on to the fitting on the front head. I want to replace the O ring.
Has any anyone got any advise on what to watch out for.
Current :2004 916 V6 3.2 Spider (baby)
             :Alfetta GTV6 1984 3.2 24v
             :2024 Tonale Veloce SUV
