Sorry guys know this is an Alfa site (liking my recently purchased 85 GTV) but am also on the look out for a FIAT 850 Coupe or Sport Coupe for restoration - also parts. My thinking is that most of you like me love Italian cars and might know of one of these lurking around or might have one yourselves? I owned one of these when I was 19 (now 41) and it left a huge (good) impression on me. I really want to get a hold of another. Can anyone help?

Also sorry if I have upset anyone by talking FIAT's in this forum.

Hi Prova, not a problem from me to hear you talk of Fiats on the Alfa forum, and I am sure some others also will be perfectly fine about that.  My Italian car education began with Fiats, and I still have my '69 AC 124 sport (restored and owned since 1980 !!).  It is the one car I will never sell.

My brother has two 850 sport (series 2) coupes. It is possible he might consider selling one of them. I could ask if you are interested.  Both of them are basically ok but need complete restoration.  Where are you located as the cars are located in Hobart?  Dave

I quite like google maps - it has a sense of humour!  Apparently it's a 15 hour drive on the Bass Strait Fwy.

Thanks for the posts guys. I have already put a wanted 'ad' in the forum 'Turbo124' but as yet no luck. Thanks for the lead on the 124 Coupes but I am really after an 850 Coupe/Sports Coupe. There must be a few hiding in and around Melbourne? Also...........I wonder if an 850 would float? - silicone the doors shut and bolt some propeller blades on the crankshaft pulley - hole in the rear panel? Yes Yes Yes!
