Alfa 33 High beams have a mind of their own!

As well as everything else on this car, that sometimes sprouts a mind of its own, the head lights now decide on their own if they want to be on high beam or not, the good ol' handle pull does the trick for two seconds.

Has anyone else run into this problem, how did they supress the Alfa?
