Hi All,

I have just recently bought a 156 V6 Semi-Auto in Metallic Navy Blue that has ran 103,000Kms.
It was my dream for a long time to own this car, and I am so excited about it!

I would like to ask the following few questions (in Melbourne Region):

- Where is it good to serive the vehicle?
- Where can I buy body kits for Alfa 156?
- Anywhere everyone reconmend for detailing and small respraying of the body.
(got some scratches and dents on the body, and need to be fixed with some small respraying)

Please let me know!!

Cheers!

Josh

Welcome.  Normally people live in the 'burbs so this is a new one.  Pur-Sang Motors in South Melb has now merged with Maranello Motors .

We do have a few club sponsors who are Alfa Specialists in the marque.  Their prices are fair and reasonable and you get tthe right advice on what is required to be done and when.  It is always recommended to get these guys to service you car.  Check out the sponsors link on top right had side of home page.  However I normally recommend say Maranello in Brunswick, The Italian Job in Clayton and Monza Motors in Bayswater to name a few.  All on public transport links of sorts.

I only suggest these as your place of employment may differ from your residence. How about giving Monza a call re 156 body kits as they may have some info for you.

With the V6 (or any other recent similar vehicle), I have been told that only the dealers have the factory software to 'update' and reprogram the transmission system.  That's if it has not been done or you want to do it.  Otherwise a few service centres have the Alfa Analyser or something similar to do diagnostic checks and reset systems for your servicing needs.

If you have the need, come to the next club night on Wednesday or the drive on Sunday week.         Good luck.
