As you might be guessing I am knee deep in electrical gremlins trying to get my car back on the road.  At least the V6 is now producing good power, but I digress.  My latest problem is the intermittent wiper control unit. The little electronic control device under the dash got full of water and burnt out.  Has anyone ever had to replace one of these, are they available or is there some other way to replace them?  At present I have no intermittent wipers and also have lost the self-parking function.

I got a replacement unit from Milano Spares in Melbourne when mine ceased to work. I'm sure he would have another unit.

OK will try the usual outlets.  Unfortunately mine is missing totally, so I don't have the part number to compare it with.  Anyone who happens to have a part number would be greatly appreciated.  It has a plug with 6 connections in a block, 3 up and 3 down.  Not the standard relay T-pattern connecctions.

Out of interest there is a second block next to the wiper connection with a standard T-pattern relay connection, that I thought was to do with the interior lights timing to going out when the door is shut.  Does anyone know what I am talking about and was that it?

I believe that is the ignition isolation relay (or something like that). Designed to cut the power to everything else (stereo etc) giving max power to the starter.
