Belina springs

The time has come for me to refresh the suspension of my 1750 berlina. I have a set of koni reds and am looking for a set of standard height springs to complement them. I am after a stock standard set up with standard ride height (maybe a little lower [20mm max]). I have asked Vin Sharp at Pace and he only has shorter springs and have also contacted Alfaholics in the UK who told me they only have shorter springs for coupes.

I could buy a set of second hand springs but am not sure if they will be worth it. Does anyone know if they can be reconditioned and if so who can do it in Melbourne. Alternatively can anyone suggest a supplier of new springs at reasonable prices.

I would appreciate any tips.

cheers

What's wrong with the springs you have, is it a ride height issue, prehaps a couple of spacers will sort it out

There is nothing all that special about the rears, I'm sure someone like king springs would have something similiar or be able to make something suitable.

I have a Berlina and some spare springs that you can have for free if you want to get them re-set prior to swapping them over.

Hi Collin,

My springs like the rest of the car are 40 years old and a bit tired. The fronts have been replaced with ones from a spider so are a bit short - it rides too low at the front and feels a bit crashy. The back has been lowered somewhat too which I think was done by removing spacers.

I would like to have suspension that feels like new so believe as I have new koni reds (not yet fitted) and have had new rubber bushes replace the old, then a new set of springs should do the trick.

Anyway if you have any ideas about where I might source some new ones from that would be great.
