Is there any issue to be had by putting a late series alfetta coupe radiator in an early series? I know that you then have to use the header tank. Considering that it will see some track work would a gtv6 one fit? Doug

Hi Doug
A GTV6 radiator is a worthwhile investment if you are doing track work.
If fitting into a metal bumper Alfetta pre 81/6 then you will have to remove a small section of chassis member  under each extremity under the bottom of the radiator to get it to fit in.(its not difficult) Get the matching header tank. Also the bottom hose is a bit different ( again not difficult)
Thermo fan needs to be an after market type ultra slim or one off an Alfa 90 because standard fans will hit the water pump pulley. (if you have a rubber bumper Alfetta this is not a problem)
I ran one in my Alfetta race car never had any cooling problems.
Hope this helps
