I like it too - just wanted to cover my butt! The bodywork has been hacked about quite a lot and I am not so keen on the rear of the front seats.

What is a so great about "updating" an almost perfect car?
If you want a modern car buy one, old cars are best left as they are.

Two different forums of thought I guess and depending on what type of person you are will depend on what you like to see.

For mine I think it's perhaps a little too over the top with the seats ect - I like the modified look but also like some of the period features which make these cars so unique. Modified where you can't see it is also great as it imprioves things but doesn't detract from the original look.

If you want an original car then you'd have to go the whole hog with original everything and trying to find some items is just plain impossible. Otherwise go to a museum and see one there.

See what I mean - covering my butt - knew some folks would get fired up!

At the very core of all Italian car lovers (Alfa, FIAT, Lancia, Abarth, Maserati, etc, etc) is a desire and appreciation for performance and connection to the machine. I think thats why most of us will appreciate this car. Maybe not every aspect of the build but the passion behind it and in it.
