Has it got a wire going to your speedo or a cable?, in the 33, around 1983 and the 90, they started using sensors in the gearboxes rather than reliable speedo cables, also look coming out of your transaxle, heading towards the front of the car, speedo cable or wire?, Colin.

Brad,
Pretty sure that you will find that it has an electronic sender. I believe that the Alfettas went to electronic senders with the plastic bumpers. These senders are different to those used in the 75, which are incompatible with the Alfetta speedo. The 75 also uses two different senders which are incompatible with eac other.

Brad,

My 1983 GTV6 has an electronic two-wire sender driving a Veglia speedo.

cheers guys, from what i understand its the same as my 83 gtv. while ive got your attention, what is required when swapping a twinsapark transaxle into a gtv6?

off the top of my head i know that the driveshafts are m10 not m8, can i swap the out put shafts in the diff housing ?

front input shaft / flange is bigger ? can i swap the shaft into the twinsaprk front housing or use a gtv6 fronthousing ?

clutch is pull not push ? if using the gtv6 front housing no issue?

cheers, Brad
