Evening All,
Looking at replacing the mechanical fuel pump on the Alfetta, used purely for track days, with an electric fuel pump. I have been looking at a few options and can't quite figure out which one to go with.

First (Preferred option) is a carter P4070, capable of 72GPH @ between 4 and 6 PSI
Second is a facet Red top, capable of 40GPH @ between 6 & 8 PSI.

Has anyone got advice on these 2 or perhaps suggestion on another alternative

Thanks

festy

A Facet cube pump works well on an Alfetta, they're cheap and supply more than enough fuel.
4 psi is all you want.
Although not essential for a low pressure fuel pump, you might want to install a tachometric relay so the pump stops in the event of an accident. A 1kg extinguisher doesn't stand a chance against a fire being fed by a still-running fuel pump...

You really do need a Facet red type, not cube. While you only need 4 PSI max at the carbs, to feed sufficient volumn along the length of the whole car you neeed 6-8 PSI and then regulate it back, with the stock filter/reg unit. The pump also needs to be mounted as low down as possible. Take a hint from the factory fitment of electric pumps on 105's; fitted under the car on the stepped down face from the rear seat cushion to the floor.
