Replacing your wipers for $70?, what a bargain!, a freind of mine was quoted $125 each for a Beemer, i went to Repco and got some inserts for about $5 per blade, and it was one of the easiest jobs i ever did, ask about the sensor, if its around the cam belt, it might be a camshaft position sensor, or a camshaft position variator, but they get noisy first and sound like a diesel on startup, Colin.

Yeah $70 just for the one rubber blade and they didn't even bauk. After I picked myself of the floor, I politely declined their mechanics recommendation. Yeah I was think it may be the variator, we'll see what philthy comes back with.
