Spettacolo Concorso
Saturday 11th November
Make your Alfa as good as it can be … and add to its value!
How? Prepare it for Spettacolo!
We all take pride and pleasure in owning an Alfa or two, or three, or more in some cases!
Setting aside the time to make your Alfa as good as it can be is a challenge thanks to our busy lifestyles. Often the best way to prioritise the task is to bite the bullet and set a deadline. Preparing your Alfa for the Spettacolo competitions – Concorso or the Show & Shine – provides you with that perfect incentive.
Investing the energy and time in a thorough detailing of your Alfa, will not only make you feel proud to drive it and display it, that investment will also add significantly to it's value.
To help more AROCA members enjoy top level car display competition, the model years for Concorso entry have been extended and we have added new Classes to encourage cars built up to 2003 to compete. Which means there are more trophies to be won.
Concorso trophies for Class winners and the Outright Winner will be presented in a special ceremony during Spettacolo festivities at Noon on Sunday 12 November.
If your Alfa is a stand out example of its model, the judging team encourages you to apply for entry to Concorso.
Concorso is judged on presentation and authenticity (except Class 9 Modified) using the International Chief Judge Advisory Group system, which has been used at Concorso in recent years and is used at most major Concours d'Elegance around the world.
The Concorso Class structure for 2023 is:
1. Vintage – cars made before 1950.
2. 1900, all 750 and 101 Giuliettas, 2000/2600 and TZ models.
3. All 105s including Giulia, Coupe, Spider, Montreal, Junior Z models.
4. All 900 Alfasud, Sud Sprint and Alfa 33 models.
5. All 116 Alfetta and Giulietta models.
6. Post 116 models – including Alfa 90, Alfa 75, ES30 and pre-1998 916 Alfas eligible for Club Plates.
7. Modern Classic – cars from 1998 to 2003 on full registration.
8. Preservation - This class is first judged for originality/authenticity. Only non-restored cars made before 2003 that are clean, fully operational examples in well preserved original condition are eligible. Work done for roadworthy, safety, routine maintenance, and minor cosmetic/structural/operational work to exterior, chassis, interior and mechanicals repairs following accident damage are permitted and must be noted on the entry form. Vehicles that are seriously deteriorated "barn finds," or static, non-running cars are not eligible.
9. Modified – all pre-2003 cars modified in body, interior or mechanicals. For example, fast road and track cars.
Please note:
Note: Concorso applications closed on Friday 20 October.
