GT Register

The Alfa Romeo GT (Type 937) is a front-engine, front-wheel drive coupe designed by Bertone. It was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in November 2003 and only 80,832 units were produced.

It was sold in Australia from July 2004 until late 2010, with only 100 units of this special '100th anniversary' model imported to Australia during 2010.

The bodywork is a classic 2-door coupé style, and incorporates a rear hatchback. Most mechanicals were taken directly from the 156/147 designs.

The GT was released with either the 3.2 litre 24 valve Busso V6 engine with the 6-speed manual transmission or a 2 litre, 4 cylinder, JTS engine with the options of a 5-speed manual or the Selespeed automated manual.

The GT was well equipped with alloy wheels, climate-controlled A/C, heated front seats, cruise control, a Bose sound system, rain-sensing wipers, Xenon headlights, parking sensors and plenty of safety features.

The GT has been acclaimed for its attractive styling and purposeful good looks, continuing the heritage you would expect of a sporting Alfa Romeo.

The Alfa GT Register is a special interest group for Alfa (937) GT owners.
